Attendance well above pre-Katrina numbers since opening “Beyond All Boundaries” film, media designed and produced by Mousetrappe
PASADENA, Ca. (January 19, 2010) – Audiences are pouring in to experience history, education, technology and entertainment come together to tell the journey of America’s fight in WWII at The National World War II Museum.
While much of the museum industry is struggling during the economic downturn, one museum is reporting record high attendance. Visitation at The National WWII Museum in New Orleans is reporting triple visitation since the November 09 opening of “Beyond All Boundaries” the 4-D cinematic experience.
MOUSETRAPPE was hired for the film’s Media Design and Production by “Beyond All Boundaries” creative director and producer, Phil Hettema, president of The Hettema Group, a Los Angeles-based design firm who was responsible for the concept, design, and production of the project.
“It is very rewarding to hear how well ‘Beyond All Boundaries’ is doing for the museum,” said Daren Ulmer, the film’s media designer and president and CCO of Mousetrappe. “We knew we’d knocked this one out of the park, however learning about such a huge increase in attendance is exciting. We’re happy for the museum and for the city of New Orleans”
Bob Farnsworth, the museum’s senior vice president for capital programs was quoted this month in a Los Angeles Business Journal article stating, “We have tripled our visitation since the movie opened and we are well above our pre-Katrina levels. The response has been terrific; we get nothing but positive comments and we believe it will remain popular for years to come.”
